The duration is 3 hours and it will be divided in different parts:
– Preparation toward the handstand: Here we will focus in the proper alignment and technique during the handstand, using exercises for flexibility and endurance. I also include a little of acrobatic movement involving the handstand work.
– Hand Balancing: Here is where we will practice and study the most specific handstand work and tips. We will also work a lot with a partner, and will cover the ways of assisting someone when doing a handstand. The specific contents are:
-Getting to a handstand: Kick to handstand, Cartwheel to Handstand, Handstand Presses
-Handstand conditioning exercises
-Introduction to headbalance
*Note: The workshop does not need that the participants are able to hold a handstand, is good for all levels.
